The Ultimate Gluten-free Product Guide
A list of 222 gluten free products with direct links and personal notes on which ones are worth buying!
Ok so this has been a LONG time coming. I have been buying, testing, and eating gluten free products for years now (celiac and lactose intolerant here, so trust me, I have had a lot of practice). And I keep getting the same question over and over again.
“what bread do you actually buy.”
“Is there a pasta that doesn’t fall apart.”
“What crackers don’t taste like cardboard.”
So I finally sat down and wrote the whole thing out.
This is not a list of every gluten free product that exists. This is MY list. Everything on here I have personally bought, eaten, and would buy again. If something isn’t on here it’s either because I haven’t tried it yet or I tried it and did not like it enough to put my name on it. I am not getting paid to tell you a product is good. I am telling you because I actually buy it, and half the time Fletcher and Andrew are eating it too.
Going gluten free is overwhelming enough without having to guess your way through the grocery store one expensive mistake at a time. I have made those mistakes so you don’t have to. This guide is everything I wish someone had handed me when I was diagnosed.
Here is what’s inside, category by category, with my honest favorite (or favorites, when I genuinely can’t pick just one) called out in every single one:
Frozen pizza. Pizza crust and dough. Sliced bread. Baguettes. Specialty breads like pita and naan. Bagels. Wraps. Hamburger and hot dog buns. English muffins. Dinner rolls. Flour. Breadcrumbs. Pasta. Lasagna. Tortellini and ravioli. Meatballs. Crackers. Mac and cheese. Cookie dough. Baking mixes. Appetizers. Oats.
That is not a typo, this is a lot of ground to cover, and I go through every single category with the same question in mind. What do I actually put in my cart.
If you have ever stood in the gluten free aisle overwhelmed, or spent $8 on a loaf of bread that tasted like a sponge, this guide is for you. Everything below is linked and ready to add to your cart.
Gluten free pizza crust and dough
Schar plain gluten free pizza crust — love that this is shelf stable, I keep it in the pantry for emergencies. My favorite shelf stable option.
TOP PICK: Wholly gluten free pizza dough (frozen) — hands down THE BEST. I am OBSESSED. I cannot suggest this one enough. Chewy, dense and such similar texture to regular pizza!
